Gentle Dental Care is a wonderful place! We invite you to bring your entire family to join ours!
When should you start bringing your little ones in?
Children should start visiting the dentist six months after you notice the first tooth has come into their mouth. Bringing your child to the dentist at a young age is the best way to prevent problems such as tooth decay and will also help parents learn the right way to brush their children’s teeth until they are old enough to start doing it themselves.
What will you do at the first appointment if my child only has a few teeth?
At Gentle Dental Care we believe teaching good habits from a young age can help to prevent a lifetime of dental problems. The first step for young children is to familiarize them with the dental office and start to build a positive relationship with Dr. Kamodia. Making a dental visit into a family outing that children look forward to will help prevent the development of dental phobias and anxiety. Dr. Kamodia will discuss your children’s diet, habits, tooth brushing routine, and fluoride needs. We will answer all of your questions while making the first visit a positive and fun experience for your child.
Not to worry if your child is older. It is never too late to establish a dental home and healthy dental routines!
